Reality Racing Will Not Air June 23 Due to SpikeTV's Prior Commitment
BOCA RATON, Fla., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reality Racing, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: RRGI) announced today that Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge will not air on June 23, 2007 due to SpikeTV's prior commitment to air the UFC. Reality Racing will resume airing on June 30, 2007 and is scheduled to continue uninterrupted on consecutive Saturdays at 9:00am through its completion date of August 19, 2007.
Kathy Itchkow, Reality Racing, Inc., Director of Marketing and Promotions said, "We were aware of SpikeTV's commitment to airing the UFC from the very beginning of our negotiations. Our email boxes and voice messages are overflowing with positive feedback and we didn't want our loyal viewers to think they would have to miss a single episode of our 13-week series.
"Here are just a few examples of the email Reality Racing has received: A viewer who calls himself Srik wrote, 'I saw the show on SpikeTV and liked it, Great work.' Another viewer, Mike H., wrote, 'Congratulation on the show ... I've been waiting for this show for a little while, and I see that it has a LOT of potential; the graphics and production are awesome...' Michelle wrote, 'whoever thought of this has a great mind.' Jake B. added his two cents with, 'I saw your show today and it was pretty impressive for a reality show. I'd heard about it from a friend and I'm into racing and it seemed pretty cool, especially the driving and the action and the animation stuff.' David B wanted us to know, 'Great show last Saturday. I and my TIVO look forward to the next episode. I can't wait to see what happens after all the contestants have been selected. Looks like you all have a winner in the works, great job by all.' Comments have also included very creative and useful suggestions that have been incorporated into the show. We are a publicly traded company so we are very sensitive to pleasing our viewers as well as our shareholders."
Ms. Itchkow also stated, "It's amazing how quickly controversy can begin. Two booted contestants, Mark Handwerker and Doctor Drake, who were told to 'hit the road' by the show's, Commissioner Lee F. Schaefer, have a very large and vocal following. We are being swamped by viewers asking that they be given a second chance in the form of a wild card spot on later episodes. No decision has been released yet."
Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge is part of SpikeTV's high-revving Saturday morning "PowerBlock." Spike TV's telecast of Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge reaches the United States and its territories, as well as Canada.
Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge combines reality television and stockcar racing, featuring amateur contestants vying for the 'Bobby Allison Cup' in a thirteen-episode series of races and challenges. In addition to the Cup the ultimate champion in this winner taking all show will receive a prize package that includes a contract with a professional race team, national exposure, a cash purse and a gold ring.
