The newly Syndicated Women's Radio Talk Show Interviews Quaid about his Fifth Annual Charity Weekend in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ladies Room with Lolis, Texas's first women's radio talk show, hosts actor Dennis Quaid on Saturday, June 9, to discuss Austin's fifth Annual Charity Weekend. The Ladies Room With Lolis Airs Saturday, June 9 at 3PM CST on KJCE Talk Radio 1370AM

The Charity Weekend will raise funds for Austin's and International Children's charities, which serve children who suffer from chronic illnesses, disabilities, life-threatening abuse or neglect, severe medical crisis or lack of access to medical care. More than 30 Hollywood stars are expected to join Quaid in Austin from Wednesday, June 6, through Sunday, June 10. The weekend events include: golf, concerts, parties and good old fashioned people watching.

"Reaching this milestone is a great achievement for me and for needy children, in particular. I am appreciative of Austin's support and contributions over the years," said Dennis Quaid. "We've cared, educated and provided medical attention for children who may one day be leaders of this great community."

The weekend's expenses are fully underwritten by sponsors, thus allowing organizations helping children to benefit from all funds raised. Beneficiaries include: Any Baby Can, Austin Children's Shelter, Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, and International Hospital for Children. The weekend will feature Bad Golf Good Cause at Onion Creek; a concert by Dennis Quaid and his band; The Sharks at the Zona Rosa; a Fashion Show starring the Ladies from Deal or No Deal; a pool party with Nickelodeon stars; and a Gala honouring Senator Kirk Watson at Austin Film Studios.

Dennis Quaid is a native Texan who has starred in several hit movies including: The Right Stuff, Great Balls of Fire, and The Alamo. He has also directed, produced and written film scripts, as well as the musical scores for many of his movies. Dennis and his wife Kimberly met in Austin and have been married for 3 years. The couple is expecting twins.

The Ladies Room with Lolis is an interview-format radio show, hosted by Lolis Garcia-Baab, for women. The show covers topics as diverse as women themselves. Several nationally recognized guests have been hosted by Garcia- Baab during the Saturday shows.
