Actor/Director Kevin Spacey to be Keynote Speaker at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts Graduation on June 26

Singer Tony Bennett to Join Spacey at Ceremony to be Held at the Main Stage Theatre of La Guardia Community College from 3-5 PM

NEW YORK, June 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kevin Spacey, the award winning actor and director, will be the keynote speaker at this year's Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (FSSA) graduation ceremony to be held on Tuesday, June 26. The school's founder, singer Tony Bennett, will join Spacey at commencement. Bennett commented, "I greatly admire Kevin who is a gifted actor and director and has a passionate commitment to the arts. We are honored to have him address our graduating class this year." FSSA graduation will be held at the Main Stage Theatre at LaGuardia Community College in Queens from 3-5 pm.

FSSA's graduation class is comprised of 124 seniors with 99% of them attending four or two-year colleges, which is one of the highest rates in the city school system. Overall, this year's class has earned more than $3 million in scholarships.

Previous keynote speakers at FSSA commencement have included Harry Belafonte, Governor Mario Cuomo, Jerry Seinfeld and Wynton Marsalis.

More about Kevin Spacey: Currently Kevin Spacey is starring on Broadway in Eugene O'Neill's "A Moon for the Misbegotten." He is the Artistic Director of The Old Vic Theatre Company in London and directed its inaugural production, "Cloaca," before appearing in "National Anthems" and "The Philadelphia Story." He has won a Tony Award for his performance in "Lost In Yonkers" and won Academy Awards for his film appearances in "American Beauty" and "The Usual Suspects."

More about FSSA: Tony Bennett, a NYC native who attended public school in Queens, founded, along with his companion Susan Crow, a charitable organization called Exploring the Arts to support arts education.. Their first major undertaking was the establishment of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (FSSA), a New York City public high school. FSSA opened in September 2001, offering a rigorous academic curriculum combined with an extensive pre- conservatory arts studio program in five areas: fine arts, vocal music, instrumental music, dance and drama. FSSA is open to all students in the five boroughs with selection based on auditions and academic achievement. The school is currently in a temporary location but a permanent site is under construction in Tony Bennett's hometown of Astoria, Queens.
