Paradigm Taps Ed Micone to Lead Adult Contemporary Music, Comedy and Casino Event Based Entertainment Group

LOS ANGELES, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Paradigm has announced that entertainment and event veteran Ed Micone has joined the agency to develop its adult contemporary music, comedy and casino based entertainment clientele. Micone brings to Paradigm his distinct expertise representing and booking music and comedy clients in the expanding casino-based events marketplace, with a career that spans more than 30 years as a leading event producer and entertainment marketer.

Based in New York City, Micone will lead a dynamic team to develop opportunities for clients on behalf of the agency's entire roster that includes Grammy Award winning artists and pioneering entertainment personalities. As he continues to build on a legacy of developing original shows and one-of-a-kind special events, Micone will focus on adult contemporary music and comedy for casino driven and theatre based events and performances.

In addition to his work with a diverse roster of entertainers ranging from Tony Bennett and k.d. lang to Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand, Micone was also an original producer of such landmark events as Billy Crystal's smash Broadway hit "700 Sundays," the North American debut of Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall and an unprecedented six Super Bowl half-time shows. In his earlier career as an agent, Micone was personally responsible for guiding the careers of Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Dana Carvey.

"Ed is an innovative leader whose reputation in the industry is unsurpassed and we look forward to seeing the agency thrive under his expanded areas of representation," said Sam Gores, chairman Paradigm. "With a seasoned team of agents in place to support his efforts, we expect to establish a new standard among agencies in this line of work."

"I love show business and Paradigm's creative culture speaks the language that always leads to success: entertainment should be fun, audiences want to laugh, they want to cry but most of all they want to be entertained," said Micone. "I am excited to be joining this incredible team of people and working with them."

Micone recently ran an entertainment group under his own name that developed entertainment events for such notable clients as the American Association of Advertising Agencies, Advertising Week, Reuters Media, Yahoo! Entertainment, Foxwoods Resorts & Casinos and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to that, Micone served as executive vice president and executive producer of Radio City Entertainment, overseeing events at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Micone joined Radio City Productions after a successful career at the ICM talent agency.

Micone has been recognized throughout the industry for his pioneering accomplishments in the entertainment industry and has received numerous awards including Pollstar and Billboard's Presenter and Promoter of the Year.

Paradigm maintains offices in Los Angeles, New York, Monterey California and Nashville Tennessee. Established in 1993, the agency quickly established itself as one of the most distinctive in the talent and literary businesses providing across the board representation for clients in areas that include Motion Picture, Television, Music, Comedy and Personal Appearances, Theatre, Publishing, New Media and Commercial Endorsements.
