Actor, Producer, Director Partners with Harbrew Imports to Create Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello Liqueur

ORLANDO, Fla. and FREEPORT, N.Y., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Danny DeVito -- actor, producer, director and proud Italian American -- has reached back to his roots to bring Americans a taste of Sorrento in Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello. This estate crafted, lemon-flavored liqueur was unveiled today at the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America Annual Convention in Orlando, FL. Harbrew Imports, Inc. of Freeport, New York, is launching Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello in the U.S.

Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello is a long way from his childhood lemonade stand in New Jersey where he and his friends "sold the best lemonade you ever tasted" for a nickel a glass. But his new branded liqueur is the "best Limoncello you ever tasted." His Limoncello emerged from his Italian-American heritage and fond memories of visiting Italy's Amalfi Coast with his children years ago.

Estate Crafted and Bottled in Italy

Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello Liqueur is produced and bottled on an estate nestled amid thousands of lemon trees on Italy's breathtaking Sorrento Peninsula on the Amalfi Coast. His Limoncello is made from the zest -- or the outer, yellow skin -- of flavorful Sorrento Lemons, which are revered worldwide for their remarkable aroma, rich essential oils, exceptional juice and acid content. Sorrento Lemons are cultivated with meticulous care and each tree is protected from the threat of harsh weather by a mesh covering suspended from tall wooden frames.

The lemon zest is mixed with sugar, water and alcohol to create the finished product -- a luscious, lemony, 60-proof liqueur best served very cold or over ice. The Limoncello is bottled at the estate in a tall, curvaceous black bottle with a transparent lemon on the front. The label and decorative lemon are serigraphed onto the bottle and then fired. Italian designer Lorenzo Damiano created the bottle and labels.

Danny DeVito's Premium Limoncello will be available in retail third quarter of this year. The product will be available initially in 750ml and 50ml "mini" sizes. Harbrew Imports plans to add a 375ml bottle later. The suggested retail price for the 750ml bottle will be $23.99.
