SPOTBOWL Headquarters Lands Philly on Football's Biggest Stage
Video, trivia, tips for throwing ultimate ad-watching bash also available
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial voting website, SPOTBOWL.com, is headed to Philadelphia as it continues to give commercial lovers a voice during football's biggest night. Now in its fourth year, SPOTBOWL is the brainchild of advertising and public relations thinkbank, Pavone, and will be headquartered in the agency's Center City offices.
Ad fans can visit SPOTBOWL.com (http://www.spotbowl.com/) during or after the game to weigh in with their opinion of nearly 60 big-budget commercials. The ads themselves will also be available on the website for replay during and after the game. Last year's poll attracted 8 million hits and 62,000 votes from fans across the nation.
"We make ads for a living and we love good commercials, and we know there are millions of people who feel the same way," said Pavone president and SPOTBOWL co-founder, Michael Pavone. "That's why we created SPOTBOWL."
Depending on which pollster you ask, as many as 50 percent of the 100 million viewers of this year's championship game, which will be broadcast on CBS on February 4, will be tuning in simply for the ads. Although final costs are still unknown, CBS is reportedly asking just north of $2.6 million for each of this year's 30-second spots, up slightly from last year's record- setting $2.5 to $2.6 million price tag.
