Latin Band Los Palominos to Entertain Troops on USO/AFE Tour to Korea

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Texas-based Latin band Los Palominos will travel on its first USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Korea Jan. 12-18. The Grammy Award-winning band will perform for service members stationed far from home.

Together as a musical group since 1986, the four Arreola brothers have developed quite a following in Mexico and the United States, especially in their home state of Texas. It wasn't until 1989 when a demo presented to Sony Music got the brothers their first record deal and with the release of their first album, "Entre La Espada Y La Pared," that the music industry got an insight into their unique Tejano/Norteno sound. Success soon followed with their first Gold album in 1993, "Corazon De Cristal," a Grammy Award for Best Tejano Performance in 1999 and a Latin Grammy also for Best Tejano Performance in 2000 for the album "Por Eso Te Amo."

In 2006 the band released a greatest hits album on Univision/Urbana, titled "Evoluciones," which includes 13 of their past hits, plus two new studio tracks. The special edition of the album also features a DVD of the band's history. The group is currently touring in the United States and Mexico.
