Kay Jewelers Celebrates a Family's Incredible Journey of Love On ABC'S Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- When Kenny Machacek, 42, and his girlfriend of four years, Theresa Fullerton, 42, of Lincoln, NE received the news that host Ty Pennington and the rest of the ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition makeover crew was coming to town to build them and their five combined children a new family home, Kenny knew it was the perfect opportunity to ask Theresa for her hand in marriage.

A true love story in the making, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition found inspiration in Kenny and Theresa's touching relationship. Both individuals grew up in the same hometown and were former high school classmates. It wasn't until years later that the two officially met and began dating after Kenny's previous marriage ended in divorce and Theresa's former husband passed away. Together they bring five children to the relationship: Theresa has three children, Brianna, who is 18 years old, Chelsey, 16, and 14-year-old Tucker. Kenny has two children, Ericka, 18, and Justin, 14.

All Kenny and Theresa have ever dreamt of is for their family to finally be united. This has been difficult, as they've faced the challenge of splitting time between Theresa's tiny apartment and Kenny's cramped 100-year- old home that requires major structural repairs. ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has made it possible for the two families to come together under one roof. And Kay Jewelers gave the couple the perfect beginning.
