Vyyo Executive Jeff Fryling to Discuss Cable Bandwidth Issues on Light Reading Webinar November 30

NORCROSS, Ga., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jeff Fryling, vice president of business development for Vyyo Inc. (NASDAQ:VYYO), will offer insights into available solutions for expanding or managing cable bandwidth as part of a Light Reading webinar on Thursday, November 30.

Fryling, who has authored several studies and presentations on the bandwidth needs of cable system operators, will provide analysis of the industry's spectrum needs and cost-benefit analysis of deploying various alternatives, including Vyyo's Spectrum Overlay solution.

Hosted by Michael Harris, chief analyst for Cable Digital News, "Solving the Cable Industry's Capacity Crunch" will be held at 2 p.m. ET November 30. The webinar will explore options available to free spectrum and/or expand capacity of the cable system including spectrum overlay, digital simulcast, switched digital video, node splitting and other technologies. Registration for the webinar is at http://www.lightreading.com/webinar.asp?doc_id=27915 .

The Vyyo Spectrum Overlay solution allows cable companies to substantially increase bandwidth to fiber-like performance, using existing infrastructure, at a fraction of the cost of building new fiber networks. Spectrum Overlay is designed to use a suite of RF products placed in parallel with existing equipment between the fiber node and the customer premise to double downstream bandwidth and increase upstream bandwidth by a factor of four. Using Vyyo Spectrum Overlay, cable system operators can create new bandwidth on a targeted basis for far less than the $1,000 per home estimated cost for telco fiber builds.

About Vyyo Inc.

Our products are designed for use by cable television and wireless telecommunication operators, wireless internet service providers (ISPs), utilities and enterprise. Our cable solutions include cable system spectrum overlay solutions designed to expand cable operators' typical HFC (hybrid- fiber coax) network capacity in the "last mile" by up to 2x in the downstream and 4x or more in the upstream, addressing bandwidth demand for T1 and other advanced services. Our wireless broadband solutions enable utilities and other customers to operate private wireless networks for communications to their remote assets and customers. Typical applications include high-speed internet services, SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and telephony (T1/E1), all based on modified Data Over Cable System Interface Specification (DOCSIS(R)) technology. Safe Harbor Statement

Statements made in this press release relating to the future, including those related to the opportunities created for our customers given our ability to provide spectrum overlay and wired and wireless T1 solutions and our ability to dramatically increase upstream and downstream bandwidth, are forward-looking statements within the meaning of the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.
