ceremony at the Hammersmith Palais in West London.
The M.A.C PRO Team spent the day working with some of the
leading British names in film to ensure they look their best as they walk
down the red carpet for one of the most prestigious industry award
ceremonies.
Best Actress Nominee Helen Mirren enjoyed M.A.C's 'At Home'
makeup service to complement her Roland Mouret dress. M.A.C Senior Artist
Neil Young created a soft smoked eye look by using M.A.C Technakohl Liner in
Brown Border. Cheeks were softly contoured with M.A.C Blushcreme in
Pleasureful and lips were natural in M.A.C Lipgelee in Slick Pink.
Last year's Best Supporting Actress Romola Garai, a guest at
the M.A.C table tonight, enjoyed the M.A.C VIP treatment where M.A.C Pro
Trainer Dean Rudd visited Romola at her home. To achieve her classical look,
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish and M.A.C Strobe Cream were used to create
flawless and glowing skin. For the eyes M.A.C eye shadow in Brule, Honeylust
and Concrete were used all over the eyes for a classical and natural look.
Best Actress Nominee Kate Dickie was visited at her home by
M.A.C Pro Artist Cheryl Webb to have the ultimate make-up pampering
treatment. She created the look for this special night by using M.A.C Face
and Body Foundation for a dewy flawless finish. Lips were made peachy and
soft with M.A.C See Sheer Lipstick. For the eyes M.A.C Fluid Line in Black
Track was mixed with the Deep Coppery M.A.C Eye Shadow in Romp to create a
soft metallic smokey eye.
'The Queen' actress and tonight's juror Helen McCrory was
glammed-up at home by M.A.C Senior Artist Martina Luisetti and opted for an
elegant look using M.A.C select tint SPF and M.A.C Blushcreme in Ladyblush
for Smooth Peachy skin. For a dramatic yet elegant eye Martina applied M.A.C
Eyeshadow in Embark, Haux and Carbon over the eyelids as well as lashings of
M.A.C Fibre Rich Mascara. For natural lips M.A.C Lip Liner in Cranberry was
used along with M.A.C Lustreglass in Flash Mode.
Irish born actress Eva Birthistle loved her 'at home' make-up
appointment with M.A.C Pro Trainer Dean Rudd who used M.A.C paint in
Graphito, M.A.C Eye Shadows in Sumptuous Olive, Knight Divine and M.A.C Eye
Kohl in Smoulder with lashings of M.A.C Pro Lash Mascara to create a dramatic
smokey eye. M.A.C Moisturegleam and Blushcreme in Blossoming were applied to
achieve dewy flawless skin.
'Red Road' actress Natalie Press benefited from a make-up
session that M.A.C Director of Make-up Artistry Terry Barber provided at her
home. He created a dramatic lined eye effect by using M.A.C Technakohl Liner
in Graph Black and M.A.C Fluidline in Black Track. To enhance this look M.A.C
Lashes No. 7 were applied.
'This is England' actress Jo Hartley was visited at her home
by M.A.C Pro Artist Aga Mega who transformed her into a natural beauty by
using M.A.C Lip Conditioner and M.A.C See Thru Lip Colour for slightly
coloured yet full lips. Aga also did the make-up for actress Natalie Dormer
who looked stunning after having used M.A.C Eye Shadow in Knight Divine on
her eyes.
Tonight's host James Nesbitt visited the M.A.C backstage make up suite
where the team used the M.A.C Clear Brow Set to make him look perfectly
groomed before kicking off the award ceremony. He stated "M.A.C makes even my
eyebrows look attractive."
All celebrities and presenters leaving the stage have received
a M.A.C Deluxe Gift box to maintain their stunning red carpet look and for
'on the spot, on the night' touch-ups, M.A.C played host to its own make-up
area complete with artists so all the stars kept on shining at the M.A.C BIFA
After Show party!
