Hip-Hop's New Bubbly of Choice Signs With The Ross Group

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Having gotten a tantalizing taste of the power of product placement, Cattier Champagne has retained THE ROSS GROUP to maximize its exposure in music, film and television. All it took was rapper Jay Z ordering a bottle of Cattier's Armand de Brignac champagne in his "Show Me What You Got" video to increase the venerable vintner's U.S. sales from an annual 6,000 bottles to an estimated 100,000 - 200,000 bottles.

Mary Hall Ross all but invented modern product placement when she dressed Richard Gere in Cerutti for the film PRETTY WOMAN. And while she won't claim credit for the serendipitous Jay Z video (the rapper is boycotting the Cristal brand), she has already outlined a strategized launch of Cattier's family of champagne labels with careful brand integration in the entertainment industry.
