'Seinfeld' Nabs Top Honors at 2006 TV DVD Awards
Jack Klugman, Robert Conrad Get Lifetime Achievement Awards
SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's season five and six TV DVD sets of "Seinfeld" won top honors at the third annual TV DVD Awards, presented Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Calif.
The collections won the coveted Best of Show award, with judges praising bonus materials such as the cast commentaries, deleted scenes and "Sein-Imation" takes on various scenes from the show.
Jack Klugman, star of "The Odd Couple," and Robert Conrad, of "Wild Wild West" fame, were honored with the third annual TV DVD Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards were part of Home Media Retailing's TV DVD 4: Future Channels Conference, a two-day business-to-business conference featuring top studio and broadcast executives, DVD producers, classic TV stars and members of the media. The event was co-sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter, DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group and the Entertainment Merchants Association.
