Large-Scale Multi-Lot Jimi Hendrix Offering Available to the Public for the First Time
CHICAGO, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Ocean Tomo Auctions, LLC today announced six unique and exceptional Jimi Hendrix lots to be featured in The Ocean Tomo Fall 2006 Live Intellectual Property Auction on October 26, 2006 at Capitale in New York City.
The six Hendrix lots to be included in the auction are as follows:
1. Rights, title and interest in the entire Jimi Hendrix Music Catalog as
claimed by The Michael Frank Jeffery's Estate, including well-known
songs such as "Hey Joe," "Purple Haze," "Voodoo Child," and "Foxy Lady.
Fourteen UK-based charities are the beneficiaries of the Michael Frank
Jeffery's Estate;
2. Jimi Hendrix museum-quality collection of approximately 15,000 items
including unreleased audio recordings (including "Personal Reels of
Jimi Hendrix"), rare video & film footage, unpublished photographs,
personal items and other artifacts;
3. Publishing rights, copyright and original reel-to-reel master
recording of the never-before-released Jimi Hendrix title "Station
Break" recorded in 1966;
4. The master recording rights to 33 never-before-officially released
Curtis Knight songs featuring Jimi Hendrix;
5. Rights, title and interest to film and sound of Jimi Hendrix's
historical last American concert; and
6. Copyrights for a series of eighteen original artworks by Jimi Hendrix,
sold as part of the collection of Bob and Kathy Levine
