Featured by the Today Show, Good Morning America, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal, Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp (http://www.rockandrollfantasycamp.com/) offers five days and nights of living like a rock star. Guided by a Who's Who of rock icons, campers of all musical abilities will learn or perfect their musical knowledge-practicing and jamming with their band mates and learning the ins and outs of the music business. The dawn to midnight camp sessions culminate in a Battle of the Bands blowout before packed houses at House of Blues on Sunset (Hollywood) and at the famed Cavern Club in Liverpool, where the Beatles got their start (London).
At the Hollywood session of Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp (RRFC), rock star counselors include Teddy Andreadis (Guns 'n Roses), Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Kip Winger (Winger), Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Mark Slaughter (Slaughter), Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Doobie Brothers), Steve Vai (legendary guitarist), Jane Wiedlin (Go Gos), Scott Ian (Anthrax), and many more. In addition to Jack Bruce, the London session will include Spencer Davis and Simon Kirke (Bad Company, Free).
The RRFC schedule includes master classes, one-on-one sessions, dinners with the stars, late night jams with renowned studio musicians and special guest stars drop-ins. Offering pointers throughout the sessions are some of rock's royalty (Prince and Joaquin Phoenix have dropped by in the past) who help the bands come together, collaborate and create. Campers-who encompass novices, experts, baby-boomers, soccer moms and CEOs-get the opportunity to rock out on top-notch instruments while rehearsing and performing with their band.
For the price of a week's vacation, participants at RRFC embark on an extraordinary odyssey. The brainchild of David Fishof, a leading concert promoter and producer for more than 25 years, RRFC was conceived as an opportunity for people to experience life as a rock star. Fishof says that the most surprising thing about the camp is the "life-altering change campers experience when they go through it. In fact, many women have told me that this is the greatest gift they have ever given their husbands."
Cost for the Hollywood five-day camp experience is $9499. Spouses are welcome to attend all evening events and dinners for the add-on cost of $499. In London, the posh Mayfair Hotel will serve as headquarters with the cost of the one-of-a-kind RRFC experience at $19,999 (with a 10% discount if registered by 11/15/06). Spouse package for London is $2999.
