Legendary singer/songwriter Elton John to make his QVC debut live from Caesar's Palace

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrated singer, songwriter and humanitarian Elton John is scheduled to make his QVC(R) debut live from Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas with his latest project, The Captain & The Kid, on Friday, October 13 at 7 PM (ET). During the one-hour QVC broadcast, John will sing a selection of songs and offer viewers insight into the fascinating story behind his new release, The Captain & The Kid, which is based on the 39- year songwriting partnership between John and Bernie Taupin.

The Captain & The Kid is a sequel to the 1975 John/Taupin collaboration, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Not only will QVC customers receive The Captain & The Kid, but it will be packaged with a special CD compilation of tracks from John's recent Fashion Rocks concert performed in New York City.

John is considered to be one of the most popular musicians of his time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums and selling over 200 million records worldwide. With classic songs such as "Candle in the Wind," "Your Song," and "Tiny Dancer," and his work on such films as Disney's "The Lion King," John has won an array of awards, including Grammy(R) Awards, Tony Awards(R) and an Oscar(R). He also continues to perform his critically acclaimed "Red Piano" show exclusively at Caesar's Palace.
