Bruce Moran Named President, Phil Ernst Named SVP at Live Nation New York
LOS ANGELES, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Live Nation (NYSE:LYV), a leading live event, venue and digital distribution company, today announced two new appointments in its New York City office. Bruce Moran has been named President of Live Nation, New York, and Phil Ernst has been tapped for the position of Senior Vice President, Live Nation, New York.
As President of Live Nation New York, Mr. Moran will be responsible for overseeing all of the company's regional concert booking, marketing and promotion as well as supervising and guiding the New York staff. Mr. Moran comes to Live Nation from OCESA Presents/CIE USA Entertainment where he was Chief Executive Officer, managing the company's international booking and talent buying operations and running the company's U.S.-based businesses. During the twelve years he spent with the company, Mr. Moran was personally responsible for the establishment of Mexico as the most active concert market in Latin America by booking and producing shows for such artists as U2, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Madonna, Pink Floyd and many more. Under his leadership the company was named POLLSTAR Magazine's International Promoter of the Year 2002 and was again nominated in 2003 and 2005. Prior to his tenure at OCESA Presents/CIE, he was Vice President of Music for Madison Square Garden. He also served as a talent agent at ICM and early in his career as a Talent Buyer for Monarch Entertainment Bureau.
As Senior Vice President for Live Nation New York, Phil Ernst will work closely with Mr. Moran to oversee all of the company's booking in the region. Mr. Ernst has worked alongside Bruce Moran at OCESA Presents/CIE since 2000, most recently serving as President of OCESA Presents. During his tenure at the company he has worked with such artists as Eric Clapton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam and others. He was also Associate Producer of the Tony Award nominated Musical TANGO ARGENTINO. Mr. Ernst began his career in the mailroom of the boutique talent agency ATI, which was purchased by ICM in 1985. During the next 13 years, Mr. Ernst booked a multitude of venues at the agency ranging from theaters to stadiums in territories across the United States.
