Carolina Crossroads Prepares 8-Acre Site for June 3 Big & Rich Country Music Concert

Cowboy Troy, Jason Aldean, Danielle Peck And Southern Draw Scheduled To Perform At Roanoke Rapids Outdoor Summer Concert

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Carolina Crossroads has announced that preparations for Saturday's outdoor concert including staging, tents and concession set-up, as well as security and emergency protocols, are in the final stages on the eight-acre site outside of Roanoke Rapids. More than 150 porta-potties, two miles of electric power lines, 1,600 feet of bicycle racks for denoting entrance areas and 200 garbage cans are part of the logistics required for the event. Concertgoers will be able to enjoy many food and drink options including 10,000 hot dogs and 50,000 bottles of water.

Performing at the concert are multi-platinum country artists Big & Rich featuring Cowboy Troy at 8 p.m.; Academy of Country Music New Male Vocalist award winner Jason Aldean at 6 p.m.; rising country music artist Danielle Peck at 5:15 p.m.; and local favorite, Southern Draw at 3:30 p.m. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.

The June 3 concert is the first in a series of "Randy Parton and Carolina Crossroads Present" concerts. Proceeds from this event will benefit Children's Miracle Network affiliated hospitals, University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina's Children's Hospital in Greenville, and Duke Children's Hospital in Durham.
