NOW PLAYING
Download Video and Music: With your KCLS library card and free
downloadable software from the KCLS Website, you can now select
and electronically 'check out' classical, folk and African
music and video to your own media player. Similar to the array
of downloadable audio books, KCLS now adds a surprising range
of new digital selections to enjoy without ever setting foot in
the library-once you have your KCLS library card, of course.

the history of African American music in an online music
listening service. The collection contains a diverse range of
genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and
narratives, among others. This release features some 16,000
tracks of great historical recordings from Document Records.
Classical Music Library lets you select your own online
playlists from a tremendous selection of classics provided by
Alexander Street Press.

approximately 100 titles. About 2/3 of the collection is
children's fiction and language arts titles. Initial content
for adults includes non-fiction, yoga, meditation, and travel.

COMING SOON:
AquaBrowser is a new catalog search and interface option that approaches
searching the full scope of KCLS library resources in a non-
linear way. Though this language may sound daunting,
AquaBrowser is a refreshing new way to approach library
research. If you are old enough, you may recall spending many
an hour using the 10-digit crawl (eight fingers and two thumbs)
through miles of files in the Card Catalog. Now long-gone,
those arcane-but-wonderful compendia of library contents held a
wealth of associated topics, tangents and background
information to enrich your search and lead you in productive
new directions, especially when you weren't sure exactly what
you were looking for. With AquaBrowser, you can have all the
fun and save time -- and your fingers -- because this
innovative new browser does the work for you at the click of a
mouse. You'll need to try it to understand it. To arrange a
preview, contact Marsha Iverson in KCLS Community Relations:
miverson@kcls.org or 425-369-3277.
National Library Week: Celebrate by visiting your own community library
April 18-24. If you haven't been to your library lately, you're
overdue!
