After years of rumor and speculation, legendary superstar George Michael has officially announced that he will be touring for the first time since 1991. The tour is entitled 25 Live. Tickets went on sale this past Sunday, April 23rd. This promises to be an unprecedented celebration of George's 25-year career in music. George Michael will be performing a selection of songs taken from all of his albums, including some classic Wham! tracks. George Michael has enjoyed one of the most successful and enduring careers in the history of pop music, selling more than 85 million records globally and encompassing eleven British number one singles, seven British number one albums and six U-S number one singles. Colgate-Palmolive Company Announces Partnership With New Global Taskforce to Eliminate Dental Decay in Children

Continuing its long- standing commitment to improving oral health, the Colgate-Palmolive Company has announced a partnership with a global taskforce established by a World Health Organization unit to help eradicate dental cavities among children around the world. Colgate will partner with the Global Child Dental Health Taskforce, a U-K- based Collaborating Center of the W-H-O, to establish thirty Oral Health Centers of Excellence. These centers will implement child and parent education programs internationally, providing critically needed preventive dental services, conducting continuing education training for dental health professionals and distributing thirty million tubes of Colgate toothpaste over five years. Colgate will also support creation of a global oral health network of national Chief Dental Officers that will provide leadership training and hold conferences to share resources and best practices.

Whirlpool Partners With Habitat for Humanity To Build Block of Homes in One Week

Habitat for Humanity and Whirlpool Corporation have announced a joint effort to build an entire block of ten homes in just a week as part of the new "Building Blocks" program. The planned annual event will be hosted for the first time by Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity and held in a different location each year. Whirlpool is a partner in Habitat's work around the world and designed the weeklong build to engage people from around the country to join in the effort to raise awareness about Habitat's mission and help eliminate substandard housing in the United States. Each year the program will recognize an outstanding U-S Habitat for Humanity affiliate and its relationship with its local community by holding a weeklong build in the affiliate's community. Kicking off in Nashville, the program will unite local residents with Whirlpool employees and volunteers from one hundred Habitat affiliates. These volunteers will build 10 homes on one block from November 4- 11, 2006. Construction of a single Nashville Habitat home typically takes eight days, spread across four weekends.
