"Our goal for this auction is simply to raise as much money as we can for children in need," said Rick Larsen, president of Operation Kids. "We have no doubt that the fans will rally to support the cause just like their favorite athletes, sporting associations and entertainers that so readily made donations."

Operation Kids' goal for the auction is to raise a minimum of $200,000 for the Forever Young Foundation, which provides academic, athletic and therapeutic opportunities for children in need, and for Right To Play, which is an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play as tools for the development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged areas of the world.

"We hope to help Operation Kids meet and exceed their fundraising goal, inspired by the way they direct every dollar to make a difference," said JT Stephens, assistant vice president of Overstock.com Auctions. "Working with organizations like these spurred us to start an auction program specifically designed to promote and raise awareness for socially responsible companies and charitable causes."
