Jack Morton Worldwide Wins Daytime Emmy Award For 'Martha' Set
NEW YORK, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Morton Worldwide won a 2006 Daytime Emmy Award, the agency's fifteenth, for the set design of "Martha," the popular daytime television syndicated talk show hosted by Martha Stewart. The awards were announced on Saturday at a ceremony in New York.
The "Martha" set received the Daytime Emmy for "Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Set Decoration and Scenic Design," which was awarded to James Fenhagen, President of Jack Morton Design/PDG, Jack Morton Worldwide's in- house design team, and John Casey, Senior Design Director.
Design inspirations for the 10,000-square foot set include Stewart's home in Bedford, New York, as well as New York City. The multifunctional set features a two-story kitchen and fully functional prep kitchen, craft room, greenhouse and demonstration area.
Fenhagen joined Jack Morton in 2000, when the design firm he co-founded in 1990, Production Design Group (PDG), was acquired by Jack Morton. His work has been recognized with multiple awards including 14 previous Emmy Awards for broadcast design for clients including NBC, PBS, MSNBC and others.
As President of Jack Morton Design, Fenhagen oversees the agency's design practice in numerous channels, including in architectural and 3D environments, corporate, retail, tradeshow, theatrical, scenic and broadcast experiences.
