Starz Entertainment Group Begins a New Era of Cool & Provocative April 3rd at Midnight!!

Launches RetroPlex(SM) for Movie Lovers of Classics Aged 25-45

IndiePlex(SM) for Fans With Rebellious Tastes

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- There are films that are cool, provocative, off-beat, classic, off-the-beaten path and outside of the mainstream. There are actors and actresses who have defined our cinematic psyche, who have inspired us to make us look and act like them. There are directors with an incredible ability to make us see film from many different angles and realities. Combine all of this and you have two new channels, RetroPlex(SM) and IndiePlex(SM) from Starz Entertainment Group LLC (SEG), set to launch at midnight on Monday, April 3rd.

Comcast Cable rolls out the channels to the majority of its Digital Cable customers as part of the company's Digital Plus service. The two new channels, RetroPlex(SM), offering unforgettable movies with unforgettably cool stars, and IndiePlex(SM) for those with discriminating tastes, are presented as only they could be -- uncut and commercial-free.

There are old movies -- and there are memorable movies. RetroPlex(SM) focuses on the latter. The channel uncovers those iconic films with stars that identified an era. It will allow viewers to rediscover the heroes and heroines that have inspired generations. Films on RetroPlex(SM) will include Spartacus, Rear Window, The French Connection, Some Like it Hot, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and West Side Story. Fans of classic Hollywood will get a double dose from the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock as the channel features "Psycho Sundays," a double-feature of edge-of-your-seat thrillers every Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

If you're looking for something outside of the mainstream, IndiePlex(SM) is devoted solely to independent films, visionary directors and those who appreciate the "art" of film. The channel will present thought-provoking, provocative films, as well as the better-known theatrical Indies. IndiePlex(SM) will feature films such as Blood Simple, Brazil, Sid & Nancy, Trainspotting, Clerks and The Piano. Every Friday and Saturday at 9:00 p.m., IndiePlex(SM) will offer "Indie Icons," featuring films from directors who have defined Independent Cinema such as Quentin Tarantino, the Coen Brothers, Steven Soderbergh, Spike Lee and Martin Scorsese.
