Inteset Innovates with New Features for Its Media Servers Including Party Mode, Secure Lock-Down, and Intel(R) Viiv(TM) Technology
HANOVER, Mass., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Inteset, makers of advanced home entertainment systems with Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (MCE), recently announced three new features -- Party Mode, Secure Lock-down and Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology.
The latest improvement to the existing Multi-zone Music module is Party Mode. The Denzel media server already includes three independent audio zones, a master zone and two alternates. Party Mode allows any audio content playing in the master zone (i.e. FM radio, TV, movies, music, etc.) to be distributed throughout the home via the 2nd audio zone. Party Mode can be turned on/off with the Denzel home theater media server, an Inteset VANA extender system, or any advanced control system such as a Crestron panel.
"Users can now listen to that football game or movie throughout the house so they don't miss a beat," says Jeff Lloyd, Inteset CEO.
Inteset also fortified its commitment to address the concerns of the A/V installer community with the announcement of its Secure-Lockdown Technology(TM). Stability issues with the Windows Media Center entertainment platform (MCE) have been a major obstacle to installer confidence. This Secure-Lockdown Technology creates a virtual "embedded" environment where outside vulnerabilities become a non-factor. "The reasons for system instability can be caused by many factors including malicious applications, viruses, Internet downloads, and use of administrative features by inexperienced users," says Lloyd. "Inteset has created Secure-Lockdown Technology that protects against these elements. Installers can choose to lock out users from performing actions that allow these outside elements to affect the system as well as disable other vulnerable features of the Windows operating system. It's also great for end users who want to prevent others [kids, babysitter, etc.] from tinkering with the system."
Lloyd continues to say, "Inteset now has one of the most solid MCE systems on the market. With our Secure Lockdown technology, internal data protection, and an independent operating system drive, it's hard to find a more stable system."
The third feature, announced earlier this year, is that Inteset has aligned their newest systems with the Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology. Of the shift to Intel Viiv technology, Lloyd says, "The specifications of the Intel Viiv technology platform are perfectly in line with the focus of our media center systems. Ease-of-use, reliability, and shared content have been part of Inteset's mission statement since day one." Lloyd continues to say, "This platform, coupled with Inteset's exclusive features, like advanced control, unique software modules for MCE, and large internal protected storage, will further entice our high-end dealer and installer target market."
