Court TV Earns Most-Watched First Quarter Primetime Ever for Adults 18-49 In Network History
Network's New 8pm Action Strip, RED, Is #8 For Adults 18-49 Among All Cable Networks
NEW YORK, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Court TV concluded 1st quarter 2006 with record-setting primetime viewing, delivering an average primetime audience of 396,000 Adults 18-49 viewers -- the best ever 1st quarter in the network's 15-year history. Court TV displayed additional momentum heading into the next quarter with a record-setting March for Adults 18-49 (390,000) in primetime -- a best ever figure for March, since the network began being measured by Nielsen.
Court TV RED (Real, Exciting, Dramatic), the network's new action strip, premiered in the Monday-Friday 8-9pm hour and ranked 8th in the quarter, among all ad-supported basic cable networks in its time period for Adults 18-49 (.4).
Court TV's new action block helped make 1st quarter 2006 the network's most-watched quarter in its history for male viewing. Court TV's Men 18-49 primetime audience (180,000) and total Men audience (429,000) were best-ever quarterly figures, and marked increases of +16% and +8%, respectively, over year-ago deliveries.
Court TV's 1st quarter prime was led by its original signature series. Premiere episodes of Forensic Files, Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege and Justice, Psychic Detectives and The Investigators delivered an average 1.0 household rating and 1,035,000 total viewers.
