American Idol Performances Coming to a Living Room Near You!

Screenlife, LLC, Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Its Newest DVD Game

SEATTLE, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Screenlife, LLC, pioneer of the booming DVD game industry and creator of blockbuster Scene It?(R) The DVD Game(TM), now offers music fans and wannabe pop stars the chance to relive the past four drama-filled seasons of America's hottest TV show with the launch of the American Idol-All Star Challenge DVD Game in partnership with FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, Americas, licensor of American Idol. For those who can't get enough of American Idol, the timing couldn't be better -- the game hits store shelves just as the show's fifth season of finalists battle it out for the victory.

"Whether or not you're a fan of the show, the American Idol All-Star Challenge is a fun party game for all ages," said Screenlife founder and CEO Dave Long. "It brings a pop culture phenomenon to your living room and transforms it into a highly interactive, entertaining experience."

David Luner, Vice President, Licensing, FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, Americas added, "Screenlife revolutionized the way America plays games by introducing the interactive home DVD game in 2002, the same year American Idol changed the face of prime time television. American Idol is a perfect fit for Screenlife and their successful line of games and the American Idol-All Star Challenge DVD Game is a fantastic way for fans of the show to immerse themselves in the fun and competition of American Idol."

The one-of-a-kind DVD game features real show clips, questions and performance challenges that send players touring around the game board from Auditions to Hollywood to the Finals in a quest for stardom. Along the way, players step into the spotlight as their American Idol knowledge is put to the test with questions like "What group sang 'Sweet Home Alabama' with Bo Bice in Season 4?" and "What was Carrie Underwood's audition city?"

Ambitious contestants also have the chance to score bonus Performance Stars with the judges by accepting performance challenges that dare them to Belt It Out karaoke-style or Break It Down with their most impressive dance moves. The game is even equipped with a special echo-chamber microphone that amplifies voices, simulating an authentic stage performance. But be forewarned, players often find themselves at the mercy of Simon, Paula and Randy, whose on-screen reactions determine whether a player will win or lose performance stars, or ultimately face a heartbreaking elimination.

Designed for players ages eight and up, and up to four players or teams, the American Idol-All Star Challenge is perfect for a family game night or a raucous evening among friends, no matter how large or small the gathering.

The American Idol-All Star Challenge DVD Game is now available for purchase at mass and specialty retailers across the country, and online at screenlifegames.com. It's one of 14 new titles joining the ranks of Screenlife games this year, such as Scene It? Movie Edition, the top-selling DVD game title of all time, and Scene It? TV edition, named 2005 Game of the Year by the Toy Industry Association.
