Reactrix Appoints Michael Gannon Vice President of Sales

Veteran Media Expert to Lead Company's Rapid Expansion in Top U.S. Markets

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Reactrix Media Systems, a ground-breaking new media company, today announced that Michael Gannon, a 30-year veteran of TV and new media sales, has joined Reactrix as the company's new vice president of sales. Gannon, who reports directly to CEO Mike Ribero, will manage all aspects of selling dynamic media space to advertisers seeking to "connect" consumers to brands by using the new national Reactrix media network in high-traffic malls, theatres, stores and other public venues located in the top 10 designated market areas (DMAs) in the U.S.

"Mike has a wealth of experience leading national sales efforts for major TV networks, combined with the pioneering vision required to lead new media sales efforts at Captivate Networks and Wink," said Mike Ribero, CEO of Reactrix. "He's extremely well-attuned to the evolution of marketing and he understands the dramatic changes taking place in the media marketplace, and how Reactrix can help marketers and agencies drive deeper engagement, relevancy and brand connection with target audiences."

Gannon comes to Reactrix from Vendare Media, an online media and marketing firm, where he served as the executive vice president of sales. While there he reorganized the company's sales and publishing divisions. He also led sales and marketing initiatives at Captivate Network, Inc. prior to its purchase by Gannett in 2004. Captivate Networks broadcasts a wide variety of advertising and international programming through a network of more than 5,300 flat-panel TVs installed in office building elevators across North America.

"No other media form today comes close to delivering the advertising effectiveness of Reactrix for brand marketers," says Gannon. "Reactrix produces a response that's more effective than most TV spots. The new medium attracts and intensely engages consumers because they've never seen projected video that immediately responds to people's movements and gestures before. Media buyers are excited about Reactrix, and we're demonstrating real value for large advertisers."

Prior to his positions at several new media companies, Gannon worked in senior sales and marketing roles at national broadcast TV media outlets including ESPN, NBC and ABC. During his fourteen-year tenure at ESPN, he integrated all domestic sales offices under one umbrella with combined billing in excess of $500 million. While at NBC, he managed sales and evaluation of all NBC sports events, analyzing audience trends in NBC's prime time schedule and competitive network programming. For ABC, Gannon liaised between Affiliate Research and ABC's Management Information Systems, developing a computer system based on Arbitron and Nielsen local market reports.

Gannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
