Commemorative Rooftop Concert Kicks Off GuitarMania Auction Week

PHOENIX, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Casino Arizona, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and Fender today announced a spectacular event marking the five-day countdown to the GuitarMania Auction on Feb. 4. In celebration of the 37th anniversary of The Beatles' final live performance from the roof of London's Apple Studios, BeatleMania Live! will perform a free concert atop the roof of Casino Arizona at 101 & McKellips on Monday, Jan. 30 at 11:45 a.m.

Casino Arizona, presenting sponsor of GuitarMania, will host the historic Arizona BeatleMania concert and unveil the latest guitar design featuring Billy Preston; the only other musician who played with The Beatles during their final performance. This spectacular re-creation has never before been attempted in Arizona and Casino Arizona is proud to host and invite the public to the free lunchtime concert.

While the history of The Beatles is well documented, Big Brothers Big Sisters is making their own history with the largest public arts auction in the state with the goal of raising $1 million in needed funds. The GuitarMania Auction will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix and will feature more than 80 10-foot-tall Fender Stratocasters(R) that have been designed by such celebrities as Steve Nash, Green Day, Alice Cooper, Eddie Van Halen, Wayne Gretzky, Stevie Nicks and many local and national artists.
