10! Show Co-Host Lauren Hart Returns Full-Time to Her Musical Career
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Lauren Hart, co-host of the 10! show, announced today that she'll be leaving NBC 10's lifestyle and entertainment show to return full-time to her musical career. "Being on the 10! show has been a great experience, and it has given me exposure to a whole new audience," says Hart. Her last day on the 10! show will be Friday, December 9th.
Before joining co-host Bill Henley in August 2004, Hart was best known as a singer-songwriter. She's also well-known for singing the National Anthem at the Philadelphia Flyers home games. Hart has been working on her new CD for more than a year, and leaving the 10! show will give her more time to pursue her deep passion for music.
On January 13th, Hart returns to perform her new CD, "5 Lifetimes," on the 10! show. Hart, who wrote most of the songs on her CD, is bubbling with excitement about its release on the 14th. Hart notes, "This year has been a very meaningful period in my life: 2005 marks the 5th anniversary of my cancer being in remission, and I married my husband, Todd Carmichael, whom I met on the 10! show."
"We're extremely happy for Lauren. We've loved having her co-host 10!, but understand her desire to focus more on her music career. We wish Lauren the best and look forward to having her back on 10! to perform songs from her new CD!" says Chris Blackman, Vice President of NBC 10 News.
