CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MediaBay, Inc. (NASDAQ:MBAY), a leading digital media and publishing company specializing in spoken word and premium audio entertainment, today announced that it has signed an agreement with A&E Television Networks (AETN) to distribute digital audio download versions of select series from A&E(R) Network and The History Channel(R).

Through this new deal, MediaBay consumers will be able to download audio versions of hundreds of episodes from the A&E series, "Biography(R)" "Cold Case Files," and "Investigative Reports(TM)," and The History Channel series, "The Real West," "History's Mysteries" and "Weapons at War." MediaBay allows users to download the audio episodes directly to their computers, or for transfer to dozens of portable media players that support WMA audio files from a leading list of manufacturers including Creative, i-River, Dell, HP and all of the Microsoft "Playsforsure(TM)" device partners. The new content will be available at the company's digital download service, SoundsGood.com, as well as through its growing list of distribution partners including MSN Music.
