TV Spots with Cheers' John Ratzenberger Launch Susquehanna Bank Brand

TV Spots with Cheers' John Ratzenberger Launch Susquehanna Bank Brand

HORSHAM, Pa., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Diccicco Battista Communications has launched a new brand campaign for Lititz-based Susquehanna Bank. The campaign - "A Smarter Way to Money" features television commercials narrated by John Ratzenberger (aka Cliff Clavin of "Cheers").

The TV spots take an unusual approach. Instead of using traditional actors, they use a smooth, geometric animation and Ratzenberger's "everyman" voice to encapsulate Susquehanna's position that it can make anyone's money work for him or her.

"We are extremely pleased with the campaign launch developed by Diccicco Battista Communications," said Stuart Mullendore, vice president and CMO of Susquehanna. "We look forward to furthering our partnership with them and developing a sound, household brand."

Susquehanna has partnered with Diccicco Battista Communications to develop, shape and execute the brand concept. The campaign is designed to help Susquehanna Bank increase its brand presence at over 200 branches throughout southeastern and western Pennsylvania, Maryland, eastern West Virginia and southern New Jersey. In addition to TV, the campaign includes radio spots, print advertisements, branch grand openings and media relations efforts.

"This campaign launch is the result of a solid, marketable product, talented people and a thorough understanding of the audience," said Carol Corbett, senior vice president and creative director of FlashPoint-DBC, the advertising arm of Diccicco Battista Communications, which created the spots.

Credits for the campaign are as follows: Carol Corbett, creative director, Ron Wessels, copywriter and Matt Smith, artwork.
