More Than Half of Employees Say They Are 'Worse Off' Financially Than Last Year

Some fifty-two percent of employees say they are financially worse off than last year, according to a Tell It Now(SM) survey conducted by ComPsych Corporation. Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, chairman and CEO of ComPsych says "There are three factors that have contributed to this lack of financial health: stagnant wages, over reliance on credit and the rising cost of living, particularly in gas prices. Driving High: Teens Cite Cars as a Top Place to Use Marijuana

Each day, more than nine thousand new driver's licenses are issued to sixteen and seventeen year-olds nationwide, the very same age group that is at greatest risk for marijuana use, and a 2005 survey reveals that these teens say that cars are the second most popular place for smoking marijuana. The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is partnering with driving schools and other leading health, safety and youth-serving organizations to warn parents of the prevalence and dangers of drugged driving and to provide information to help teens "Steer Clear of Pot." More than two-point-nine million driving-age teens reported lifetime use of marijuana, and last year more than seven hundred fifty thousand sixteen and seventeen year-olds reported driving under the influence of illicit drugs. According to the 2004-2005 PRIDE Surveys, when asked where they use, approximately one in seven fourteen percent of high school seniors cited "in a car," making cars the second most popular location after at "a friend's house" twenty-point-four percent.

Back in 1985, the Classic Rock radio format was created by consultant Fred Jacobs. Armed with research from his days as the Director of FM Radio Research at ABC and a programming stint at WRIF in Detroit, Jacobs recognized the burgeoning power of the Baby Boomer generation, and the music that galvanized them. Jacobs comments, "In the early eighties, it became apparent to me that the legendary Rock music from the sixties and seventies had unique appeal, but really wasn't receiving much airplay. But even I have to admit I had no idea that twenty years later, Classic Rock would still be one of the leading formats and certainly one of its most profitable."
