The survey also highlights the home and mobile technology products consumers say they are likely to purchase within the next six months and explores the impact of certain factors on purchase consideration.

Young Americans are sexually adventurous. According to the 2005 Durex Global Sex Survey, 62 percent of individuals aged 16-24 responding to the survey have had sex in a car or a bathroom. In fact, 70 percent of Americans report having sex in these public places. Having sex in public places is risky, but according to the survey, young adults are doing a lot more than that. Most Americans surveyed report having their first sexual experience between ages 16 and 17. As many as 38 percent of 16-24 year olds report having had two-to-five sexual partners and 20 percent are having sex three-to-four times a week.
