Big Screen Entertainment to Showcase Star Studded List of Films at the American Film Market

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Big Screen Entertainment Group's CEO, Kimberley Kates, has announced the list of projects the company will be showcasing to over 7,000 leaders in motion picture production and distribution industries present at the American Film Market (AFM) November 2-9, 2005.

The Burt Reynolds/Raquel Welch starrer, "Forget About It," will screen at the Mann Criterion Theatre in Santa Monica. The film was directed and produced by BJ Davis and John D. Schofield ("As Good As It Gets," "Jerry Maguire"), and also stars Robert Loggia, Charles Durning, Phyllis Diller and Richard Grieco. Kates stated that audience response to the action-comedy was "overwhelmingly positive" at recent screenings. The company will be releasing the film theatrically in January, 2006.

Other films in various stages of production include "The Mirror," "Tool Girls," "The Road To Christmas," "Angel's Blood" and "Lightfield's Home Videos".

The thriller "The Mirror" was written and directed by BSEG's VP of Production, Stephen Eckelberry ("Charades") and stars and Paz De La Huerta. De La Huerta began her career as a fashion model in New York City, and has built an impressive film resume, co-starring with Tobey Maguire ("The Cider House Rules"), Vincent D'Onofrio ("Chelsea Walls"), and both Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland in the upcoming "Fierce People," directed by Griffin Dunne. Kates is also pleased to announce that legendary actor David Carradine ("Kill Bill") has recently joined the cast of BSEG's "The Mirror".

"Tool Girls" is a dark tale of revenge based upon the novel of the same name by Rodney Hewitt. It's the story of two beautiful calendar models turned serial killers exacting vengeance upon the rich, powerful and cruel. The film is a cross between Pulp Fiction and Thelma and Louise and stars Kristin Bauer ("50 First Dates"), Elena Lyons ("Club Dread"), Monty Bane ("Sleepwalkers") and Sam Hennings ("The Work and the Glory").

"Angel's Blood" is a sci-fi thriller written and directed by BSEG's VP Michael Manasseri, producer of the recent Jenny McCarthy comedy "Dirty Love." The film stars acclaimed actress, Karen Black, and takes place in a historic New England town.

The company will be bringing the Ron Zimmerman penned "Road to Christmas" to the Market. Big Screen is producing along with Penny Peyser ("The In-Laws") and will be announcing the star studded cast soon.

In final stages of production is Lightfield Lewis' Home Videos, a compilation of movies shot over a twenty year period, featuring such stars as Cuba Gooding, Jr., Juliette Lewis, Beck, Giovanni Ribissi, Leah Remini and many more. The film is being executive produced by Academy Award winner, Gus Van Sant ("Good Will Hunting").

CEO Kates stated, "Our films play to several key demographics, and are sure to garner substantial domestic and international interest."
