'We Will Rock You' Marks One-Year Anniversary

All-New Version of Show Celebrates Magic of Queen

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The smash-hit rock musical, "We Will Rock You," is celebrating its one-year anniversary at Paris Las Vegas with an all-new show that highlights even more of Queen's timeless music.

"We Will Rock You" is a stunning theatrical production featuring 20 of Queen's greatest hits, including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Are The Champions," "Another One Bites The Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." The rock spectacular made its North American debut September 8, 2004 at Paris Las Vegas, and the show's producers have raised the bar by offering a new, 90-minute version, which focuses more on the music of Queen.

"'We Will Rock You' has a broad range of audience appeal," said Marilyn Winn, president of Paris Las Vegas. "Queen's music is all at once powerful, familiar and moving -- by creating a 90-minute version of the show that focuses more on the rock music aspect, we are giving our customers exactly what they have been requesting: more Queen music.

"Additionally, a 90-minute version is more desirable to Las Vegas audiences, based on the uniqueness of the Las Vegas entertainment experience," Winn said.

"We celebrate Queen's legendary music every night and we're pleased to present an even more exciting version of the show," said co-producer Jane Rosenthal of Tribeca Theatrical Productions.

Ben Elton, noted comedian, scriptwriter, film director and novelist, wrote the original London production which he in turn adapted for American audiences. The show is now in its fourth year in London's West End, where it recently became the longest running show at the Dominion Theatre. The show is also currently playing in Spain, Australia, Germany and Japan. Plans are underway for additional shows to open in South Africa and Italy.

Le Theatre des Arts, an intimate 1,450-seat venue at Paris Las Vegas, has been customized to provide an extraordinary setting for the electrifying theatrics of "We Will Rock You." In an oppressed futuristic world where conformity is enforced, a group of rebels battle to claim individual expression and rediscover rock music. In true rock-and-roll fashion, complex laser lights and special effects are broadcast on six gigantic plasma screens. The production includes a cast of world-class singers and dancers for this high-energy rock theatrical experience.

"We Will Rock You" is presented by Tribeca Theatrical Productions co-founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor and Phil McIntyre Entertainments in association with Paris Las Vegas.

Tiered pricing is $70, $85 and $100 (plus tax) and all seats for the Sunday matinee are $55. Tickets are available at the Paris Box Office or by calling (702) 946-4567 or (877) 762-5746. Show schedule is as follows:
