Month-Long Celebration to Include Activities for Preschoolers Like Dora the Explorer Parties, LazyTown Workouts and Meet-and-Greets With Blue's Clues' Joe
NEW YORK, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning Sept. 1, the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn in Orlando, Florida will feature a month of Nick Jr.-themed, family-oriented activities in celebration of Nick Jr. Month.
Special events include parties with preschoolers' favorite Latina heroine, Dora the Explorer, guest appearances by Blue's Clues' Joe (Donovan Patton), LazyTown workouts, "Let's Just Play" triathlons and more. Arts and crafts demonstrations will also be available for preschoolers throughout the month, including how to make Blue's Clues Handy Dandy Scrapbooks; Little Bill Family Frames; The Backyardigans Birdhouses; Go, Diego, Go! Wooden Zoo Puzzles; Dora the Explorer Backpacks and Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends Sun Catchers. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), many of the events throughout the month, including a Dora the Explorer Sing-a-Long Fiesta, will be Hispanic-themed and feature Nick Jr. costumed characters.
In addition, during Nick Jr. Month at the hotel, character breakfasts will be offered free on weekdays, a $54 value for a family of four, giving kids a chance to dine with their favorite characters like SpongeBob SquarePants. Also available in the month of September is "Nick After Dark," where kids can enjoy a parents-free evening of Nick-style games and entertainment, backstage passes to Studio Nick and hands-on introductions to Nickelodeon's signature green slime.
