'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' Partners with Netflix to Find Movie Fans for 'Million-Dollar Movie Week'
Game Show Will Travel to Five Cities Across the U.S. to Hold Contestant Auditions
Those Who Audition Will Also Be Able to Try Out For Regular Episodes of Game Show
NEW YORK and LOS GATOS, Calif., July 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," hosted by Emmy award-winner Meredith Vieira, is teaming with Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), the world's largest online movie rental service, to find movie fans from all across the nation. Chosen contestants will find themselves in the hot seat for "Million-Dollar Movie Week," a specialty edition of the game show, which will feature movie-themed questions and will air in February 2006.
"Millionaire" and Netflix will be traveling to five cities to find contestants for "Million-Dollar Movie Week." Auditions will be held in San Diego (Monday, July 25), Houston (Wednesday, July 27), Minneapolis (Friday, July 29), Chicago (Monday, August 1) and Miami (Wednesday, August 3). Those who audition will be given the opportunity to win Netflix memberships and other merchandise.

Auditions will run from 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. in each city. Space is limited. Auditions will consist of a timed, multiple choice test, and for those who pass the test, a brief interview with a "Millionaire" producer. Everyone who auditions will have the opportunity to try out for both "Million-Dollar Movie Week" and regular episodes of the game show. Two separate tests will be given.
