Netflix Brings Movies Home With New Ad Campaign
Creative Effort Breaks Today on Network and Cable Television

The ad campaign features five 30-second spots, each using a specific movie genre (children's, romance, foreign, suspense, war) that plays out in subscribers' homes.

The national TV campaign will air across dayparts with a network and cable presence. The theme of the campaign is "Netflix. There's a movie waiting for you at home."
With today's busy lifestyles and consumers demanding more for their money, Netflix is positioned as the simple, easy and accessible way to enjoy renting and watching movies.
"This new ad campaign brings to life both the Netflix service and the enjoyment of movies," said Neve Savage, vice president of marketing for Netflix, "The ease and convenience of the service allows consumers to enjoy a romance, fairy tale, suspense or foreign movie experience in their own homes."
The movie genre ad campaign is the company's latest consumer television marketing effort, the first of which launched in 2002. The creative was developed by Goody Silverstein and Partners, San Francisco. DVDs of the new Netflix ad campaign are available for review by the news media upon request.
Netflix is the world's largest online DVD movie rental service, providing more than three million subscribers access to over 45,000 DVD titles. For $9.99 a month, consumers can sign up for Netflix.
