Music Director Louis Langree Joins Soprano Renee Fleming and Pianist Stephen Hough for 'A CONCERT AT MOZART'S HOUSE' Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. EDT on PBS

NEW YORK, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Millions of music lovers will have the chance to sit in prime seats in their own homes and see the live, sold-out performance at Lincoln Center, A CONCERT AT MOZART'S HOUSE, with acclaimed soprano Renee Fleming. The concert will be broadcast on July 28 at 8 PM EDT over local PBS stations, presented by the Emmy Award-winning LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER.

In addition to viewing this performance, which recreates a concert one might have heard during Mozart's time, when intimate chamber music and songs were performed between movements of larger orchestral works, audiences may preview, exclusively via the Internet, a glimpse of life of the composer's Vienna through specially produced lively video vignettes featuring Ms. Fleming, Music Director and conductor Louis Langree and program host Beverly Sills.

The LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER VIDEO VIGNETTES can be viewed over the Internet at http://www.lincolncenter.org/lflc/lctv/index.html

Executive Producer John Goberman has created a series of Internet-based mini-features, specifically to be seen in advance of the concert. Ms. Fleming describes her own intensely personal passion for Mozart both as artist of genius and spiritual teacher, drawing upon comparisons between singers of Mozart's time and today. She also talks of her love of Handel and how his music offers far more artistic freedom to singers than meets the eye.

The Opening Night telecast of the 2005 Mostly Mozart Festival at Avery Fisher Hall on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 8 p.m. EDT on PBS will feature Music Director Louis Langree leading the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra and pianist Stephen Hough, joining Ms. Fleming in works by Mozart, Handel, J.C. Bach, and Rameau.

Also, Live From Lincoln Center viewers will be able to experience a whole new Avery Fisher Hall for the first time: a stage installation designed for the Mostly Mozart Festival extends the stage 30 feet into the audience, bringing the musicians closer to the audience and enabling special "court- side" seating surrounding the orchestra.

Live From Lincoln Center is made possible by a major grant from MetLife.
