Cast of 'Bad News Bears' Meet The Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles

WHAT: CAST OF "BAD NEWS BEARS" MEET THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF
LOS ANGELES

The young cast of new Paramount film "Bad News Bears," which
opens nationwide on July 22nd, 2005, will join four East Los
Angeles-based Boys & Girls Clubs in coming together for a
community event to promote good sportsmanship among Latino youth.
Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, Salesian, and Variety Clubs will
set aside rivalries for a friendly exhibition softball game; this
free event for the community to also include cast autograph
signings, games, prizes, food and entertainment, including the
world-famous Bob Baker Marionettes.

WHO: Young cast of "BAD NEWS BEARS," and Los Angeles, East Los
Angeles, Salesian, and Variety Boys & Girls Clubs; plus special
guests.

Cast attendees include:
CARLOS ESTRADA, EMMANUEL ESTRADA, RIDGE CANIPE, TIMMY DETERS,
TROY GENTILE, TYLER PATRICK JONES, and JEFFREY TEDMORI

Special guests include:
MAYOR ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA (schedule permitting), LAUSD PRESIDENT

ABOUT "BAD NEWS BEARS"

A fresh take on the irreverent 1976 comedy hit, "Bad News Bears" follows a grizzled former minor league baseball player (Billy Bob Thornton) who is recruited to coach a woefully inept Little League, the Bears, team to a championship against their hated rivals, the Yankees.
