Wild Summer Nights Concert Series Rocks the Detroit Zoo

ROYAL OAK, Mich., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Detroit Zoo is getting ready for their annual "Wild Summer Nights Concert Series" presented by Starbucks. From July 6 to August 31 don't miss your chance to get down on Wednesdays with live bands from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The concert series, with the support of the Metro Times, Fox 2, and AM 580 has something for everyone by featuring a wide variety of music from children's, folk, jazz, blues and rock.

Bring a blanket, a picnic dinner and spread out in the Picnic Grove where there is room to relax and enjoy the show. Concessions, wine, beer, frozen specialty drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Coffee tasting with Starbucks "Coffee Masters" employees will also be available at various concerts. The Coffee Masters hope to increase coffee passion and knowledge in the community.

The entire Zoo stays open late and the animals are often more active in the cooler evening weather. The "Wild Summer Nights Concert Series" is free for guests with the purchase of regular Zoo admission.

The Detroit Zoological Institute is comprised of the Detroit Zoo and the Belle Isle Nature Zoo. The Institute, founded in 1928, is committed to celebrating and saving wildlife.
