IPTV is the highly-anticipated provision of interactive television to home television over standard Internet home broadband connections. ITVN addresses this market with a complete product solution that will provide a range of affordable content on demand including news, music, broadcast entertainment and web media, as well as on-screen viewing and management of personal media including photos and videos. Consumers simply connect ITVN's small, sleek set top box to their existing home broadband/DSL router, cable modem router or wireless LAN and plug in the set top connector to their television set and subscribe to the services that best meet their needs.
Radium has also hired Charles Prast to be its new Chief Executive Officer, Michael Martinez to be its new President, and Murray Williams to be the Company's new Chief Financial Officer. Messrs. Prast, Martinez and Williams have also been added to Radium's Board of Directors.
"ITVN leverages home broadband, an existing infrastructure, to bypass the massive costs of cable and satellite delivery," said Charles Prast, the new CEO of ITVN. "And since Internet content is known for being far more interactive and broad in scope than anything that can be offered over traditional networks, consumers nationwide will have access to a variety of content at a great value."
According to Nielsen//NetRatings there are over 60 million US broadband households who have the ability to take advantage of the compact device to access a plethora of in-home content. A January 11, 2005 article by PC Magazine stated that ITVN's broadband-enabled TV set top box is a "technology breakthrough" with image quality that is "indistinguishable from broadcast."
"Internet Protocol Television is a market changing technology that adds a new dimension of interactivity to television viewing," added Prast. "And ITVN is at the forefront of making this extraordinary technology a reality."
