New Survey Reveals Thanks are Sometimes Hard to Come By

A new national survey released by Citibank reveals that nine out of 10 people believe that Americans need to pay more attention to having good manners when interacting with others. When asked who deserves more thanks, 31 percent of Americans named Moms, followed by family, and service workers such as sanitation workers and mail carriers. Eighty-five percent of respondents also wish they received more thanks themselves, especially from spouses, children, and bosses.

Eddie Murphy Joins the Cast of DreamWorks' 'Dreamgirls'

National Survey Reveals Gay and Heterosexual Personal Financial Decisions May Differ

According to a recent nationwide online survey, gay, lesbian and bisexual adults may differ from heterosexuals when considering their personal financial needs -- especially decisions on investing, spending and working with financial institutions. For example, when U-S adults are asked how they likely would use some or part of 100-thousand dollars they earned due to investing, approximately eight out of 10 gays and 73 percent of heterosexuals say they would reinvest the money into tax-free accounts. Similarly, eight out of ten gays say they would reinvest the 100-thousand dollars in checking, savings or money market accounts (vs. 68 percent of non-gays). Not surprisingly, given the higher incidence of children in non-gay households, heterosexual adults are more likely than gays to say that they would put money aside for children or grandchildren.
