LAS VEGAS, June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Players Network (BULLETIN BOARD: PNTV) announced today it has established "PLAYERS ON DEMAND," an On Demand Division to capitalize on long-term distribution opportunities that allow consumers increased choice, convenience and control of their gaming lifestyle content.
"PLAYERS ON DEMAND" is in discussion with Cable Television Video On Demand companies, Mobile Phone companies and is finalizing plans for providing On Demand Internet-Delivered content on its Broadband Network (www.playersnetwork.com) beginning August 1st.
The "On Demand" universe in the US alone includes 15 million Video On Demand households, 70 million cell phone/PCS subscribers and 30 million subscribers with broadband access in the United States, 120 million users worldwide. In the US, broadband is projected to double to 60 million by 2008. Broadband includes individuals with cable modems, DSL, T1 lines, wireless devices, satellite broadband, first mile fiber and powerline broadband.
