Zone4Play Presents the World's First Cross Platform Multi-Player Texas Hold'em Poker Solution for iTV, Web and Mobile
Zone4Play Presents the World's First Cross Platform Multi-Player Texas Hold'em Poker Solution for iTV, Web and Mobile
WILMINGTON, Delaware, May 31/PRNewswire/ -- Zone4Play, Inc. (OTCBB: ZFPI), a leading provider of multi-platform
gaming solutions announced today the world's first cross platform
multi-player poker solution as an answer to the worldwide multi-player Texas
Hold'em Poker boom.
With the worldwide poker-playing community estimated at nearly 100
million people and growing, Zone4Play is leveraging its unique cross-platform
gaming expertise to launch the following services for interactive TV (iTV),
Internet and mobile over the coming months.
More than 60% of industry experts surveyed believe that online Texas
Hold'em poker will be the dominant offer in online gambling in the next
years. The amount gambled on poker websites around the world in 2005 is
estimated to exceed US$ 60 bn, and the commission revenues will be around US$
3bn (around 60% of the Las Vegas strip revenues).
The first ever iTV multi-player Texas Hold'em poker will be available on
Sky's interactive system and accessible from more than five different
channels, including Avago, The Poker Channel (sponsored by Party Poker),
channel Five and other major broadcasters. The solution will be initially
launched on a play for fun mode, ultimately being replaced by a real gaming
solution, based on legislation changes in the UK.
Other iTV deployments to be launched later this year include one of the
largest cable operators in the US and the largest hospitality provider in the
world.
Zone4Play's exciting multi-player Texas Hold'em Poker is the first and
only poker game available for iTV. Zone4Play has managed to overcome some
major technological barriers in order to present the market with a swift and
easy to use product.
In the Internet realm where Texas Hold'em poker is recognized as being
the hottest product, Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Inc. ("CTE")
(NASDAQ: CTCO), is set to launch an online version of the multi-player Texas
Hold'em poker game in Q3.
Additionally to the iTV and Internet deployments, Zone4Play is currently
developing a mobile version of the multi-player Texas Hold'em poker for one
of UK's leading bookmakers. The Mobile MP Texas Hold'em Poker will be
introduced to the market later on this year and will enable play for real and
play for fun versions of the popular game.
Zone4Play hosts the game on a unique hosting environment platform,
allowing a competition between players who plays on Mobile, iTV and the web.
Like its Internet counterparts, the exciting game brings all the stimulation
of a real card hall to iTV and mobile subscribers: the super-fast pace, the
intense competition and camaraderie, and all the adrenaline pumping action of
a real Texas Hold'em poker game.
Having evolved significantly since its emergence in the 1920's, Texas
Hold'em Poker now involves mass multi-player tournaments with millions of
dollars at stake. According to Zone4Play Senior VP Marketing and Sales, Idan
Miller, "With the worldwide Texas Hold'em poker phenomenon growing at an
incredible pace, providing multi-platform access is quickly becoming a basic
necessity for everyone in the industry."
