New Survey: Teens Report Pressure to Engage in High-Risk Behaviors on Prom and Graduation Nights, Impacting Driving Safety

A new survey finds that many teens report pressure to engage in unsafe activities on prom and graduation nights, like drinking and driving and driving carelessly (such as speeding). These activities are proven to increase a teen's crash risk. The survey, released by Chrysler Group's Road Ready Teens program and partner Mothers Against Drunk Driving, was conducted as part of an innovative online public education effort to reach teens with critical messages about teen driving safety and underage drinking prevention.

Edmunds.com Announces Consumers' Most Wanted Vehicle Awards for 2005

Edmunds.com has announced the winners of the fourth annual Consumers' Most Wanted vehicle awards. The Ford Mustang won a landslide victory as the Consumers' Most Significant Vehicle of the Year for 2005. In a solid second place was the Chrysler 300 sedan, which was selected last fall as the Edmunds.com Editors' Most Significant Vehicle of the Year for 2005. In third place was the Chevrolet Corvette. Overall, however, domestic cars were chosen for only four of the vehicle segment awards. European vehicles won nine segments while Japanese vehicles earned top honors in 13 segments. Honda, Porsche and Audi vehicles, in that order, were the most popular with those who participated in the survey this year. This is the second consecutive year in which Honda won the largest number of Edmunds.com Consumers' Most Wanted awards. The 2005 winners in each segment are:

Most Americans Lack Proper Estate Planning, Says New FindLaw.com Survey

Most Americans don't have the essential legal documents needed for proper estate planning, such as wills and living wills, according to a new survey by the legal Web site FindLaw.com. According to the survey, the majority of Americans -- 55 percent -- don't have a will to specify the handling of their estate after they die. Two-thirds of Americans -- 67 percent -- lack a living will in case they become incapacitated or terminally ill. In addition, those with a will often fail to keep the document updated.
