NEW YORK, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- As women get smaller, wedding plans get bigger on the "Dr. Phil" show, starting with "Modern Love," a new branded collection of engagement rings, bridal sets, wedding and anniversary bands. "Modern Love," will be featured on the nationally syndicated "Dr. Phil" television show on May 27, 2005.

With his own spin on the trend of reality weight loss challenges, Dr. Phil McGraw dared six brides-to-be to reach their goal weight before their wedding day. In return, he will make all of their wedding dreams come true, with a whole host of prizes for the modern bride-to-be. Modern Love rings, which are available at Sam's Club stores nationwide, will be featured as one of the rewards. If the brides reach their first weight loss goal, they have the opportunity to choose a new Modern Love wedding ring or upgrade their current ring.

In the finale of the challenge, the brides-to-be will be awarded the Modern Love ring they selected. In a special segment, one bride received her Modern Love just before she walked down the aisle. Footage of the bride receiving her Modern Love ring will be aired in this finale.

Valued at over $28,000, the brides each chose rings in 14k white gold. Three of the brides chose a ring with an oval-cut center diamond and a total carat weight of 2 carats. The other two brides chose a ring with a round-cut center diamond and a total carat weight of 1-7/8 carats.
