Terasen Gas Selects ClickSoftware as Service Optimization Provider
ClickSoftware Solution Promotes Better Customer Service in Terasen Gas' Distribution Department
BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, January 26/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqSC: CKSW), the leading provider of
workforce and service optimization solutions, today announced that Terasen
Gas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian energy provider Terasen Inc., has
selected ClickSoftware's ServiceOptimization Suite to improve customer
service.
Vancouver, B.C.-based Terasen Gas delivers natural gas and piped propane
to homes and businesses and is the largest natural gas distributor in British
Columbia. Terasen Gas is focused on connecting customers safely, efficiently
and reliably to the energy and services they need for their homes and
businesses.
According to Dwain Bell, Terasen Gas Vice President of Distribution,
ClickSoftware's ClickSchedule application was a great fit for Terasen Gas'
needs. "We are currently involved in a significant service delivery
enhancement project that involves both field and office operations," Bell
said. "Effective scheduling is an important piece of this project. The
capabilities provided by ClickSchedule provide us with more visibility into
our service organization through order tracking and real-time status updates.
This will improve work volume management and reliability of customer install
dates."
In order to effectively respond to its increasing customer growth,
Terasen Gas is also interested in gaining more insight into how processes
within the service organization can be improved, the accuracy of its demand
forecasting and how resources are being used. Terasen Gas has selected
ClickAnalyze, an analytics application, tied to ClickSchedule, to achieve its
goals in this area.
ClickSchedule will be integrated into SAP R/3 using the certified adaptor
as well as SAP's Mobile infrastructure.
"The beauty of service optimization technology is the flexibility it
gives its users to impact their companies' bottom line," said Dr. Moshe
BenBassat, founder and CEO of ClickSoftware. "Whether you decide to reduce
costs while maintaining service levels or maintain current cost levels while
improving service, the bottom line effect is essentially the same. We are
excited to begin working with Terasen Gas to help them reach higher revenue
potential through improved service to their customers."
