Movies to Woo With: BLOCKBUSTER(R) Survey Names Most Romantic Movie Moments for Valentine's Day

DALLAS, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Did you get swept away by Molly and Sam's memorable pottery session in "Ghost"? You're not alone. Respondents to a survey by Blockbuster Inc. named this sensual scene the most romantic movie moment. In honor of Valentine's Day, BLOCKBUSTER is releasing a list of these and other top romantic film moments chosen by survey respondents.

"BLOCKBUSTER is doing its part to help customers have a great Valentine's Day by recommending these romantic film moments to set the mood," said Curt Andrews, senior vice president and movie category general manager for Blockbuster. "Consider these scenes the romantic equivalent of an intimate dinner for two, a walk on the beach or a dozen roses and with a great selection to choose from and no more late fees, our customers get more value than ever for their Valentine's date."

Approximately one in four survey respondents named the famous scene from "Ghost," starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, as the most romantic. Coming in second was the magical moment in "Titanic" when Jack and Rose, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, soar across the ocean at the Titanic's prow while the love theme "My Heart Will Go On" plays.

Scenes from "You've Got Mail" and "When Harry Met Sally," both of which feature Meg Ryan and were written by Nora Ephron, took third and fourth place in the survey results.
