SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) today announced that it has named Rajat Bahri as its chief financial officer. Bahri brings over 15 years of experience in a broad range of significant finance roles at Kraft Foods and General Foods. Bahri, 40, will be responsible for Trimble's worldwide finance operations including accounting, external reporting, tax, treasury and investor relations. Mark Harrington, who has served as interim CFO, will return to his role as vice president of strategy and business development upon Bahri's start date in mid-January.
"Raj's experience and personality closely fit the profile we established when we launched our search. In particular, we were looking for senior management capabilities that will enable us to manage Trimble's growth," said Steven W. Berglund, Trimble's president and chief executive officer. "In addition to excellent technical financial skills, Raj's background includes a strong operational emphasis. He has extensive experience managing within a large-scale environment that includes international operations, product line diversity, demanding cost management, and a complex market structure," Berglund continued. "Beyond his contributions to the financial and business management of Trimble, we expect that Raj will play a key role in expanding our visibility within the investment community and ensuring continued best of class corporate governance."
At Kraft, Bahri served in a variety of senior finance roles, both in the U.S. and abroad, including senior financial officer of several multi-billion dollar operations. Bahri holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi and an MBA from Duke University.
