Nighthawk Systems Sells Units to Naval Air Warfare Center
SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: NIHK) , a leading provider of intelligent wireless power recycling products, today announced that it sold PT1000 units to the Naval Air Warfare Center at China Lake, California this month. NAVAIR uses the Nighthawk units to activate orientation lights across the entire Test Range, roughly the size of the State of Maryland, including one position on mountainous terrain over 6,500 feet.
A NAVAIR engineer stated, "I was originally presented with a problem of how to turn on/off some 1.5 Kw orientation lights several times a day that were going to be situated over a very large area. I've been using Nighthawk's products, and they continue to meet our needs successfully. Several DTMF- activated orientation light controllers at our sister range at Pt. Mugu, California will be replaced with PT1000 units this spring."
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, commented, "This is a great testimonial on the reliability of our products and we will attempt to leverage off of this relationship to seek other governmental security and defense applications. It is also a great testimonial on the intelligence and flexibility of our PT1000, which is also used for firehouse emergency response management, factory automation and traffic control."
